Today in class we did an activity that compared testing scores. We compared WV testing averages and national averages. Once we scaled our graph that helped prove our point and then made a graph we also created a small executive summary saying that since WV's testing scores are so much lower then the National standard we need to raising funding to help boost these test scores.
Here is a link to my exectutive summary and graph :)

Webquest!
The things that make a good webquest are that they require high levels of thinking not just question and answer, they must be appealing to the eye with colors that coorinate with each other and appropriate graphics so that students are interested in what they are doing, and it should include good links to other sites and resources to help the students to answer the questions in the webquest.

Web Quest Project!
The web quest that i will be creating is going to be on the day in the life of a slave. I would like the lesson to be centered around how the slaves got to the colonies and what they experienced once they got to the colonies. Students will understand the hardships that these slaves experienced. Also I would like the students to explore why the slaves were so essential to the stability of the colonies and what reasons that the slaves were brought from Africa to the colonies to work.

Applying Bloom's Taxonomy of Thinking Skills
Situation:
Two glasses are filled half way with soda- one with cola and one with lemon lime. A small amount of lemon lime is removed from the glass and put into the cola glass. The glass is stirred thoughly so that the lemon-lime is completely mixed into the cola. Then the same amount of the mixture is removed from the cola glass and put into the glass with lemon-lime.
Question:
After the soda has been exchanged, is there more cola in the lemon-lime glass or more lemon-lime in the cola glass? Look over the problem and predict which of the followwing is most likely to be correct:

- More cola in the lemon-lime
- More lemon-lime in the cola
- The same in both glasses
After thinking about this problem, i feel that in the end both cups should still have the same amount of liquid in it.
Strategies and Processes used:
- Understand
- You first must understand the problem before trying to figure it out
- Apply
- You must apply what you know already to try and solve the problem
- Analyze
- Think about what you know and put everything ot together to know the answer
- Execute
- Finally yoou figure out your answer

Storage Issues
Four Places that an Electronic Document can be Stored:
Flash Drive:
- The pros of this is that you can easily take this with you where ever you go to access your information. theses are also cheap and avaliable and there are not many restrictons to it.
- The cons of this is that these are easily lost of left behind so you lose all of you important info. They also break very easily so you could lose all your information.
Network Drive:
- The Pro of this is that all of your information is backed up so if something would ever happen to the computer you would not lose you information. Also you can get to this from any computer that is connected to the network.
- The Cons of this is that you must be logged in on the network computers to access it and that you must be connected to the internet meaning that you can not use this drive when logged onto wireless internet.
Desktop:
- The pros of this is that it there is a lot of space and information can be easily stored in this place.
- The con is that sometimes when you log off and log back on you information could potentially not be there.
Google Docs.:
- The pros this is on the internet so that all you have to do is log on an you can access this no matter where you are.
- The con is that you must have internet access these documents so that could cause limitations to when you can access them.
